📋 Description

• Manage client relationships and daily administration of assigned Global Capital Markets accounts. • Perform administrative, operational, and risk management activities for GCM transactions. • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and internal and external service partners. • Monitor account systems, databases, activity, controls, policies, procedures, and guidelines. • Review, analyze, and comment to counsel on operative documents and agreements. • Coordinate risk monitoring and regulatory compliance with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Audit. • Research and resolve control and client service issues. • Work with attorneys, financial advisors, interested parties, and service partners to structure and close transactions. • Execute cash flows, fee billing, reporting, and tickler processing. • Participate in sales calls and prepare fee proposals for new business. • Evaluate fees and monitor collection of aged receivables. • Cultivate current and prospective client and referral-source relationships. • Represent GCM at transaction closings and lead or attend client meetings and presentations. • Identify and implement approved fee increases, discounts, and waivers. • Provide coverage and support for other Relationship Managers. • Represent GCM or lead departmental and corporate projects. • Assist management with business product and process development. • May supervise or mentor less experienced associates. • Adhere to risk, regulatory, and internal control standards and escalate risk issues. • Promote an environment supporting belonging and reflecting the M&T Bank brand. • Complete other related duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years’ client service experience in Global Capital Markets products or markets; OR, in lieu of a degree, combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including 2 years’ relevant client service experience • High proficiency with personal computers and pertinent software • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting legal documents • Experience calculating discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages • Familiarity with corporate structures, relevant laws, and regulations • Proven problem-solving skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong analytical skills • CCTS certification preferred • Working knowledge of pertinent specialized internal software applications preferred • Managerial or leadership experience preferred • Demonstrated sense of ownership in jobs or projects preferred
