📋 Description

• Design, implement, administer, and support IBM z/OS mainframe networking infrastructure • Install, customize, maintain, and apply maintenance to mainframe network software and associated products • Troubleshoot complex mainframe networking and middleware issues using diagnostic tools such as IPCS and packet traces • Perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions • Respond to incidents, coordinate with vendors, and resolve technical problems • Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and implement tuning measures to meet SLAs • Implement and maintain security protocols in CA-ACF2, including AT-TLS configuration and certificate management • Lead and participate in software upgrades, hardware refreshes, disaster recovery planning, and exercises • Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application development, and operations teams • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting techniques • Represent the Bank at vendor-sponsored conferences and provide technology thought leadership • Participate in a 24/7 emergency on-call rotation • Identify and escalate risk-related issues • Maintain internal control standards and implement audit and regulatory findings • Complete other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or related work experience • Expert-level knowledge of z/OS Communication Server, including VTAM, TCP/IP, FTP, SFTP, TLS/AT-TLS, OSA-Express, TN3270 Services, DNS, Enterprise Extender, and Connect:Direct (NDM) • In-depth knowledge of SMP/E and z/OSMF for software installation and maintenance • Fluency in JCL, REXX, and CLIST • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences • Strong proficiency with mainframe middleware, including IBM MQ Series on Z, CICS, and DB2 on Z • 7–9 years of experience in mainframe systems programming, with a focus on networking and middleware • Relevant certifications are a plus • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments • Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation • Ability to adhere to banking risk, regulatory, audit, and control standards
