• Conduct workplace investigations involving performance, conduct, attendance, communication, workplace conflict, and policy violations. • Interview employees and witnesses, review documentation, and prepare investigation summaries and recommendations. • Maintain accurate and confidential employee-relations records. • Facilitate conflict-resolution discussions and identify employee-relations trends. • Advise managers on performance concerns, conduct, attendance, documentation, corrective action, and policy application. • Support complex leave, return-to-work, and workplace accommodation matters, including coordinating the interactive process. • Interpret, explain, draft, and revise HR policies, procedures, forms, templates, and employee communications. • Support personnel-file, documentation, leave, employee-relations, compliance, agency, claim, audit, and legal-document requests. • Provide advanced employee-lifecycle support for onboarding, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, performance management, leaves, accommodations, and separations. • Support involuntary separations, sensitive exit interviews, retention initiatives, and employee-engagement programs. • Serve as a senior resource to HR Generalist and HR Coordinator team members and support training and cross-training. • Lead assigned HR projects, support new HR programs and organizational changes, and improve processes. • Track and analyze HR data and prepare reports and recommendations for the Human Resources Manager. • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist capacity. • Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paycom preferred) and ATS systems (Workable or similar). • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a remote environment. • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment preferred. • Healthcare industry experience preferred. • Professional HR certification (SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) preferred. • California-based required.
