📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications, APIs, and data services supporting the Sample Management and analytics platform • Work closely with architecture and product teams to drive complex system design • Perform code reviews and mentor the development team with best practices • Make key design and technical implementation decisions on complex systems and help guide engineering vision • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and transform them into scalable, reliable, developer-friendly REST microservice APIs • Design, build, and maintain sustainable business application systems, including Snowflake data pipelines and analytics services • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Managers, and Designers on new customer experiences

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of overall software development experience, preferably with secure, scalable web applications • Experience with frontend and backend web technologies • Full-stack web application programming • JavaScript / TypeScript • Python, including FastAPI, Pydantic, and Pandas • React, including Material UI and Vite • Relational databases and SQL programming; PostgreSQL or MySQL preferred • Snowflake and dbt for data warehousing and transformation • REST APIs and web service backend technologies • AWS infrastructure and services, including ECS Fargate, Lambda, S3, SQS/SNS, CloudFront, ECR, EFS, Secrets Manager, and Redshift • Infrastructure-as-code with AWS CDK using TypeScript • Docker and container-oriented technologies • CI/CD, specifically GitLab CI • Automated testing with pytest, Vitest, and Playwright • Identity and integration platforms such as Okta SSO, Jira, and Slack • Experience with microservice enterprise architecture, cross-platform integration, and scalable applications in heterogeneous environments • Experience across the software development lifecycle, including build, configuration, change control, release, and deployment • Strong relational database design and optimization skills • Quality assurance mindset • Familiarity with regulated environments is nice to have • Strong analytical background and excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
