📋 Description

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise Mainframe applications using COBOL • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into efficient software solutions • Develop well-structured, maintainable, and documented code following established coding standards • Maintain and update existing Mainframe applications while ensuring optimal performance and reliability • Participate in code reviews and contribute to software engineering best practices • Utilize GitLab for source control, version management, and code collaboration • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for software development and application processes • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, backlog refinement, and retrospectives • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions • Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA teams, and fellow developers throughout the SDLC • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field • Minimum 3 years of experience designing scalable, highly available software solutions using algorithms, data structures, and design patterns • Minimum 3 years of hands-on COBOL Mainframe programming experience • Strong experience working with Mainframe technologies • Proficiency in COBOL programming • Experience using GitLab for source control and version management • Experience creating and maintaining technical code documentation and software processing documentation • Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development methodologies preferred • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control management, build processes, software testing, deployment, and operations • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability and willingness to learn additional programming languages and technologies as needed • Only U.S. Citizens (USC) are eligible to apply
