📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications and services supporting Natera Operations information processing for genetic lab tests • Work with operational teams to optimize workflows and software • Build the next generation of Natera operations tools • Make key design and technical implementation decisions with the engineering team • Collaborate with stakeholders and users to define requirements and transform them into reliable, extensible, operations-friendly applications • Design, build, and maintain sustainable applications • Improve development processes and procedures and promote best practices • Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) regularly in paper and electronic form • Complete HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance, and security training within the first 30 days of hire • Maintain current status on Natera training requirements • Pass a post-offer criminal background check

🎯 Requirements

• BS degree in computer science, comparable program, or equivalent • 5+ years of overall software development experience • Experience with web services, including REST • Experience with relational databases • Full-stack web application programming • Object-oriented programming • Java Enterprise Edition • Spring Framework • Relational database and SQL programming, preferably MySQL • REST APIs and other web service backend technologies • AWS infrastructure • Docker or container-oriented technologies • CI/CD • Quality assurance mindset • Demonstrated teamwork skills • Solid analytical background • Excellent communication • Commitment to diversity in engineering • Current status on Natera training requirements • Ability to complete HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance, and security training within 30 days of hire • Ability to pass a post-offer criminal background check • MS preferred • Experience with Java object-oriented programming, preferably Spring Framework and Hibernate, nice to have • Front-end web programming with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular, nice to have • Familiarity with regulated environments, nice to have • Healthcare IT experience beneficial but not required
