📋 Description

• Calculate and provide accurate, timely cost estimates for scheduled procedures based on patient insurance, benefits, and historical data • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage levels for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial plans • Review and provide timely prior authorization submissions based on patient insurance, benefits, and clinical data • Communicate with patients regarding estimated financial liability, payment options, and financial counseling needs • Secure necessary pre-certifications and authorizations and ensure documentation accuracy • Research and answer patient questions using multiple systems, including practice management systems • Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations when handling incoming, returning, or outbound calls • Obtain patient payment information, process payments, and document accounts appropriately • Escalate issues to supervisors or management • Follow client-specific protocols during patient billing cycles • Respond professionally and promptly to requests and follow up on outstanding requests

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent • Exceptional customer service skill set • Mandatory compliance with strict patient confidentiality policies • Detail oriented • Basic computer knowledge, with Excel experience • Strong organizational and time management skills • Good written and oral communication skills • Ability to work 8:30AM–5:00PM Pacific Standard Time; candidates in Mountain or Central Time Zones also considered • HIPAA privacy compliance • Experience with practice management systems and multiple systems navigation
