📋 Description

• Lead well-scoped, accurate, reliable, documented data assets aligned to stakeholder needs • Build and improve maintainable, scalable, high-quality data pipelines using established patterns • Solve moderately complex data problems independently and escalate tradeoffs or dependencies when needed • Monitor jobs, investigate pipeline failures, improve tests, and prevent recurrence • Strengthen pipeline reliability and observability • Communicate requirements, assumptions, progress, and tradeoffs with cross-functional partners • Break down ambiguous work and partner with senior engineers on solutions • Apply sound implementation judgment and incorporate feedback • Write clean, tested, and documented code using modern practices and AI-enabled tooling • Grow technical depth by taking on more difficult workstreams and learning through feedback, reviews, and mentorship • Work within a product vertical to shape data supporting business decisions, product innovation, analytics, experimentation, and user experiences • Report to a Senior Manager of Data Engineering and collaborate with the Data Org

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, software engineering, or a related field • Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Databricks, or similar • Strong SQL skills • Working proficiency in Python for pipeline development, transformation, automation, and debugging • Comfort with AI-assisted tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot • Working knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and query performance • Experience building and troubleshooting production pipelines • Familiarity with data quality, monitoring, logging, testing, and observability • Logical problem-solving skills, including defining issues, investigating anomalies, and drawing sound conclusions • Ability to work within established patterns and identify improvement opportunities • Strong written and verbal communication across engineering, analyst, and business audiences • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience • Must be based in the United States • Must be authorized to work in the country where the role is listed; immigration-related support or sponsorship may be queried during application
