📋 Description

• Lead well-scoped data assets that are accurate, reliable, documented, and aligned to stakeholder needs • Build and improve maintainable, scalable, and high-quality data pipelines • Solve moderately complex problems independently and escalate tradeoffs or dependencies when needed • Monitor jobs, investigate failures, improve tests, and prevent recurring pipeline issues • Communicate requirements, assumptions, progress, and tradeoffs with cross-functional partners • Break down ambiguous work and partner with senior engineers on solutions • Prioritize work by impact, urgency, and risk • Apply sound implementation judgment and seek feedback on design and execution • Write clean, tested, and documented code using modern practices and AI-enabled tooling • Grow technical depth through increasingly difficult workstreams, feedback, reviews, and mentorship • Design, develop, and maintain data systems and pipelines supporting analytics, experimentation, product innovation, and strategic decision-making • Work within a product vertical and partner closely with Data Org members • Report to a Senior Manager of Data Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, software engineering, or related experience • Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Databricks, or similar • Strong SQL skills • Working proficiency in Python for pipeline development, transformation, automation, and debugging • Comfortable with AI-assisted tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot • Working knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and query performance • Experience building and troubleshooting pipelines in production • Familiarity with data quality, monitoring, logging, testing, and observability • Logical problem-solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience • Must be based in the U.S. • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
