• Lead the design, build, optimization, and maintenance of scalable ETL pipelines • Guide normalization and transformation frameworks for disparate datasets • Develop high-quality, reproducible code using version control, modular design, automated testing, documentation, and CI/CD • Mentor and coach team members on software engineering design principles • Develop solutions in a secure cloud architecture using Databricks Lakehouse features • Manage environment setup, version control, deployment, and CI/CD for data pipelines and Databricks apps • Develop and maintain Databricks integrations with enterprise systems through APIs, S3 ingestion endpoints, and database connectors • Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and product teams on data ingestion, metadata management, automation workflows, and platform usability • Document technical requirements, user stories, and workflow specifications • Help the scrum master and teammates estimate, sequence, and prioritize development work • Support modernization and transformation of enterprise business solutions used by NASA
• Experience building scalable data-driven services, data ingestion pipelines, and automation workflows at enterprise scale • Experience contributing to high-reliability cloud solutions • Experience solving complicated problems with creative, practical, and feasible solutions • Strong communication and problem-solving skills in dynamic, remote environments • Ability to empathetically work with platform customers to triage and resolve issues, enable self-service, and introduce improvements from feedback • Ability to collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, platform engineers, cybersecurity, and product stakeholders • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; experience considered in lieu of a degree • Demonstrated experience with agile project management tools • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NASA Public Trust background investigation • Desired: Experience supporting NASA Web Services Operational Environment • Desired: Experience with Databricks, Apache Airflow, or similar enterprise data platform applications • Desired: Experience supporting Federal government projects • Ability to design and document technical solutions related to CI/CD
