📋 Description

• Support the engineering, review, execution, and validation of Transmission Switchyard projects focused on nuclear generation facilities • Contribute to switchyard engineering from conceptual design through construction and commissioning • Oversee engineering scope for Greenfield and Brownfield Switchyard Engineering projects • Execute assigned tasks from conception through construction and commissioning • Secure engineering consulting resources by developing scopes of work, securing bids, evaluating bids, and awarding work through the Integrated Supply Chain Group • Coordinate with stakeholders to secure station sites and obtain engineering updates, data, and permits • Coordinate engineering deliverables including scope documents, Issued for Bid, Issued for Procurement, Issued for Construction, design criteria, and as-built drawings • Represent internal and external project interests through presentations and briefings on progress, issues, and risk mitigation • Support Transmission Services in reviewing interconnection documentation and ensuring compliance with ISO requirements • Communicate with transmission owners, operators, and ISOs to ensure timely and accurate project deliverables • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project engineering resources to determine priorities, work plans, and lines of demarcation • Ensure projects are implemented efficiently, cost-effectively, and safely according to processes, procedures, industry standards, and policies • Support Legal with regulatory filings, depositions, and hearings • Collaborate with component OEMs to adapt designs for integration with NEER philosophies • Provide engineering, design, and environmental support • Track and report project negotiations and performance • Prepare communications and presentations and support meetings • Research and develop improvement measures • Establish customer requirements and project costs with other departments • Perform other assigned job-related duties

🎯 Requirements

• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL) • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (non-Engineering Technology), OR Master’s degree in Engineering if the bachelor’s degree is not in a pure engineering field • At least one degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) must be from an ABET-accredited program • 7+ years post-Bachelor’s degree in engineering • Ability to meet attendance and storm duty requirements • Ability to work extended hours • Certified Professional Engineer (PE) preferred • Six Sigma Black Belt Certified preferred • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified preferred • Master's Degree preferred • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified preferred • Six Sigma Master Black Belt preferred
