The SaaS product uses a single lightweight agent and centralized console to manage Windows, macOS, Linux, servers, VMs, and mobile devices, and includes security-focused features (autonomous patching, encrypted backups, FedRAMP and SOC compliance) and integrations and APIs to streamline IT operations and automate workflows.

📋 Description

• Own architectural and lifecycle decisions for the data domain, including technology selection, deprecation, capacity planning, and long-term platform direction • Design, operate, and evolve database platforms across relational, NoSQL, caching, time-series, and data warehouse technologies • Partner with Architecture and Engineering on schema design, access patterns, and scalability tradeoffs early in product and feature design • Debug and resolve database tooling, provisioning, local, CI, and developer-experience issues • Evaluate and onboard new database and storage technologies • Maintain database performance, availability, disaster recovery, backup/retention, and security controls • Optimize indexing, query plans, and storage/compute configuration across heterogeneous data stores • Automate provisioning, backup, and lifecycle management; integrate database changes into CI/CD • Lead migrations, version upgrades, and technology transitions with minimal disruption • Maintain audit logs, schema versioning, and change tracking for SOC 2, FedRAMP, and HIPAA traceability • Document architecture decisions, operational runbooks, and platform standards • Deliver mission-critical services supporting customers managing millions of endpoints and servers • Design and develop high-availability software systems supporting global operations

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in database engineering/administration • 3+ years operating more than one database technology in production • Demonstrated experience influencing architecture or product decisions involving data • Deep expertise in at least one relational engine • Working fluency in NoSQL caching • Experience with time-series data stores and data warehouse platforms such as Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery • Strong cloud-native experience, preferably AWS, including RDS/Aurora, managed NoSQL, IAM, encryption, and networking for data services • Proficiency in scripting/automation and infrastructure-as-code, including Terraform and CloudFormation • Track record of debugging developer-facing environment issues • Strong troubleshooting using logs, metrics, and query analysis across varied storage engines • Excellent written and verbal communication • Preferred: containerized/orchestrated database deployments, Kubernetes, Fargate, cross-cloud data platforms, distributed systems, data partitioning strategies, data platform/database reliability engineering titles, and internal developer tooling/self-service around data infrastructure • Must reside in one of the listed U.S. states • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
