• Navigate and resolve account challenges with tailored solutions • Build strategic territory plans aligned with shared priorities to drive product demand and improve patient outcomes • Partner with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office colleagues to address customer needs and deliver access support • Apply market, competitive, and cross-functional knowledge to anticipate opportunities and respond to challenges • Use territory data and market trends to uncover local insights and support pull-through efforts • Lead impactful customer engagements virtually and in person • Facilitate planning sessions with key stakeholders to solve complex challenges • Collaborate across functions to meet customer needs with urgency • Deliver real-time access support and work with Patient Specialty Services • Use digital tools and omni-channel strategies to personalize outreach across virtual and face-to-face settings • Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts and healthcare providers • Build meaningful customer connections and link customers to Novartis resources
• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university required • Experience within the last 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similarly structured industries with large, geographically dispersed sales teams • Candidates from complex sales environments such as medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, or B2B sectors are welcome • Proven track record of consistent high performance • Experience navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers • Analytical ability to seek, prioritize, and apply relevant information to solve customer problems • Ethical leadership and ability to foster ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and laws • Candidate must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border • Ability to travel 60–80% across a broad geography • Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory • Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required • Associate level: recently separated from the US Military with 4+ years of military service in a leadership capacity, or limited prior sales experience • Territory Account Specialist: 2+ years’ experience in a comparable sales role within the last 5 years • Senior Territory Account Specialist: 5+ years’ experience in a comparable sales role within the last 5 years • Executive Territory Account Specialist: 10+ years’ experience in a comparable sales role within the last 5 years • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally within a matrix environment • Ability to communicate clinical product information effectively • Customer-facing employees must comply with customers’ credentialing guidelines, which may require vaccination • Must successfully complete required initial training, including home study of no more than 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week • Novartis will not sponsor visas for this position
