📋 Description

• Oversee execution of Operational Excellence strategies, including Lean and related frameworks, across multiple departments • Facilitate value stream mapping, A3 problem solving, FMEA, and other Operational Excellence tools • Lead continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams, streamlining processes and eliminating redundancies • Lead kaizen events and promote a company-wide culture of adaptation and ongoing process refinement • Serve as the Operational Excellence subject matter expert and benchmark and integrate best practices • Assess change impacts, identify resistance, and develop mitigation plans with leadership • Lead identification and reduction of cost of poor quality (COPQ) • Partner with finance and project leadership to determine the value of improvements and COPQ reduction • Support leaders in establishing performance metrics and key indicators • Use data analysis to identify inefficiencies and generate actionable recommendations • Champion the usability of PowerBI and KanBo for improvement initiatives • Generate and prioritize suggestions and initiatives, track progress, and maintain accountability mechanisms • Use KanBo and similar tools to monitor accountability and measure improvement impact • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field • Significant applicable work experience in Operational Excellence / continuous improvement • 7+ years of operational excellence experience, including application in a non-manufacturing environment • Proven leadership experience delivering tangible business results • Ability to lead improvement initiatives and manage priorities for near-term and long-term goals • Ability to coach and mentor others in applying Operational Excellence tools • Excellent writing, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills • Certification as Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred • Root cause analyst certification is a plus • Knowledge and experience in nuclear corrective action programs, including causal analysis, is a plus • Commercial nuclear industry experience is a plus • Experience with ASME NQA-1 and ISO 9001 quality programs/systems is a plus • Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 • Ability to understand and communicate clearly using phones, personal interaction, and computers • Ability to learn new job functions and concepts quickly and apply them accurately • Ability to lift 10–15 pounds • Ability to travel nationally and locally using common transportation • Ability to travel 10–25% of the time, primarily domestically
