📋 Description

• Provide broad administrative support to the Chief Development Officer and Senior Vice President for Development • Manage executive calendars, appointments, meetings, engagements, travel, and logistics • Prioritize executive actions and handle matters under tight deadlines • Serve as liaison between executives, staff, and volunteer leaders while protecting confidentiality • Monitor and route incoming mail, email, and phone inquiries • Maintain the executives’ to-do list and review queue • Support relationships with principal donors and partners • Review and coordinate approval of correspondence, reports, fundraising materials, proposals, and CEO/President signature documents • Draft correspondence, documents, and reports; maintain records; process expenses and registrations; update management and reporting tools • Cross-train on Development Division operations and support division deliverables • Facilitate Development leadership meetings, including agendas, materials, and minutes • Support departmentwide meetings, team-building, and professional development activities, including logistics and onsite event support • Produce and maintain standardized reports on strategy implementation, revenue generation, and resource management • Coordinate administrative and logistical support for NWF Board and ad hoc committees • Support gift processing during high-volume periods such as year-end fundraising • Respond to Board Members and VIP inquiries and inform relevant executives and staff • Support donor and prospective funder cultivation, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship strategies • Attend major events and Board meetings and provide administrative and logistics support

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience as an executive assistant or administrative professional preferred • Previous nonprofit experience highly desirable • High self-awareness, empathy, approachability, and interpersonal skills • Awareness of multiple group identities and their dynamics • Commitment to continuous learning, professional growth, and skills enhancement • Growth mindset and openness to innovation • Ability to build trust with authenticity and character • Ability to protect confidentiality and safeguard sensitive personal information • Discretion when sharing information • Ability to work independently and as an integral team member • Professionalism, superior interpersonal abilities, communication and political savvy • Strong writing and time management skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Familiarity with CRM and fundraising software, databases, and management reporting tools • Passion for and commitment to the National Wildlife Federation’s mission • Occasional overnight domestic-US travel, approximately 10–15 nights per year • Ability to perform the stated physical requirements, with reasonable accommodation where applicable • Submit a cover letter and resume
