• Develop and implement annual Coalition field plans, priorities, and deliverables with coalition members and leaders • Establish field processes, procedures, and tracking mechanisms for effective field operations • Build and maintain relationships with local, state, regional, and national partners across the region • Collaborate with Coalition staff and members to build, maintain, and support relationships with federally recognized Tribal Nations • Keep Coalition members updated on key events, milestones, and opportunities through newsletters, listserv updates, talking points, and other communications • Support Coalition convenings and events, including community listening sessions, the annual Ohio River Summit, and Ohio River Hill Day in Washington, D.C. • Work with partners and allies to populate a story bank of local threats to waters and successful restoration and remediation efforts • Share member engagement opportunities, sign-on letters, webinars, funding opportunities, and other resources • Develop talking points, fact sheets, website content, and other outreach and communications materials • Support Coalition social media channels and amplify aligned messages from members and partners
• Minimum 2–5 years of professional experience or equivalent working experience in issue advocacy • Focus on building and strengthening partnerships and coalitions • Familiarity with conservation and environmental issues preferred • Curiosity to learn about and commitment to helping communities, partners, and allies advance shared priorities • Successful track record establishing trust-based relationships with internal and external partners across a broad, diverse, and complex landscape • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities to meet deadlines • Ability to work independently while collaborating with staff and organizations • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Flexibility and ability to assess rolling tasks in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly • Good judgment, initiative, and ability to respond to inquiries • Occasional travel, 1–3 times per month • U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization to work in the U.S. • Cover letter, resume, and two writing samples required • Background check if selected
