📋 Description

• Own and document cloud data architecture across a multi-cloud environment focused on Azure and Azure Databricks • Lead data architecture modernization, including migration strategy, data modeling, and platform engineering • Design and implement governance, security, and compliance strategies for sensitive Veteran PII and PHI • Enable data science and AI/ML capabilities, including model deployment infrastructure and data pipelines • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and VA stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, consumable data products • Support data ingestion, curation, and interoperability across disparate VA source systems • Build and maintain technical architecture documentation, security strategies, and compliance artifacts • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience designing and managing enterprise cloud data architectures in Azure • Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks for data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML workloads • Experience with Power BI or similar visualization platforms • Familiarity with AWS data services is a plus • Strong background in data governance, security compliance, and federal data standards including FISMA and NIST 800-53 • Experience with large-scale data migration and architecture modernization • Ability to produce clear, detailed technical architecture documentation • Ability to work in a remote, collaborative Agile environment across engineering, product, and government stakeholder teams • Clear and open communication skills • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States • Certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or security clearance • Bachelor's Degree
