📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and architect robust software features and distributed modules • Break down complex project requirements into clear, actionable implementation plans for the pod • Mentor less experienced engineers in system design, performance optimization, and modern cloud-native development • Identify and propose improvements, including technical debt removal and development process optimization • Collaborate with artists, game developers, veterans, and other multidisciplinary stakeholders to deliver production-grade systems • Perform rigorous code reviews • Drive feature estimations • Participate in the engineering hiring process • Design, implement, and maintain low-latency, high-throughput backend infrastructure • Ensure APIs and data pipelines meet extreme performance demands • Lead technical design efforts and ensure scalable cloud resource usage • Shape architecture powering core training platforms

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field • 5+ years of professional backend software development experience, heavily indexing on Golang and C++ • Deep understanding and strong practical experience with RESTful API design principles • Proven track record deploying and managing services in Kubernetes across both private (on-prem) and public cloud environments • Direct experience building real-time simulation or other highly performance-critical, low-latency systems • Clear, candid communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional teams • Hands-on experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases (preferred) • Familiarity with NATS or other asynchronous messaging frameworks (preferred) • Background in GIS data processing or other mathematically intensive fields (preferred) • Proven leadership experience and a strong multi-language scripting toolkit (preferred)
