📋 Description

• Own and evolve the public REST API, including API design, ergonomics, versioning, errors, and rate-limiting behavior • Build and maintain client SDKs in TypeScript and Python • Lead launches of upcoming SDKs • Ship and expand the Agent SDK for multi-step, agentic workloads on OpenRouter • Treat documentation, examples, and starter repositories as products • Instrument developer and AI coding-agent entry points and improve them • Make developer-facing surfaces agent-friendly • Collaborate with DevRel, Product, and Platform teams to identify ecosystem gaps and deliver solutions end to end • Shape OpenRouter’s product as the platform scales and expand its features

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building external-facing developer products — APIs, SDKs, or developer platforms widely used by engineers • Strong API and SDK design instincts; experience shipping libraries that developers integrate with • Strong TypeScript skills • AI-forward workflow and interest in agentic systems • High agency and bias toward action • Comfortable owning a product line at a small company with fluid team boundaries • Strong written communication; docs, changelogs, and SDK reference material are part of the job • Pragmatic tradeoff judgment between speed and simplicity • Nice to have: prior experience at developer-centric companies • Nice to have: hands-on experience designing or maintaining agent SDKs or other agentic developer tooling • Nice to have: existing OpenRouter use, open-source contributions, or AI tooling side projects • Must address United States immigration sponsorship questions in the application
