📋 Description

• Provide interpreting services as needed for students or prospective students who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing • Ensure appropriate accommodations in academic settings • Provide interpreting support in meetings with faculty and staff • Provide interpreting services for public university programming • Work some evening and weekend hours as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or NAD-RID certification • Completion of an Interpreter Training Program from an accredited institution • Proficiency in ASL, including Academic ASL • Mastery of a high register of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and extensive vocabulary • Ability to match the language style of the consumers and the setting • Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include evening and weekend hours • Successful completion of a background check • Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check • A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
