📋 Description

• Troubleshoot malfunctioning elevator and escalator equipment proactively and during emergencies • Determine and oversee corrective actions and advise field personnel • Provide technical direction to branch adjusters and other field personnel • Train personnel on all types of equipment and provide guidance at job sites • Distribute written information about service, new equipment, and modernization equipment • Inspect assigned territory and consult with Service Supervisors, Construction Superintendents, Constructors, Adjusters, and Examiners on product-performance problems • Assist in designing and delivering field education classes • Maintain responsibility for the quality of service work, new installations, and modernization • Monitor first inspection reports, field test reports, and data reports and resolve problems • Use CRC data to resolve problems with high-callback units • Consult with engineering personnel and recommend constructive product changes • Identify repetitive complaint patterns, pursue design or manufacturing solutions, and ensure timely completion • Supervise T.I.P. and Re-Work Log systems to control costs • Assist supervisors and superintendents in selecting candidates for adjusting assignments • Interact with branch-level customers to explain technical problems and help them through challenging situations • Drive accountability for the OT and field force • Travel periodically within the assigned territory

🎯 Requirements

• High school degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred • 5+ years of relevant technical elevator experience • Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills to develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers • Self-motivated and able to manage simultaneous projects and responsibilities • Comfortable working in a technical environment using Microsoft-based computer software • Strong leadership, goal-oriented, time-management, and organizational skills • Working knowledge of Otis and non-Otis software • Preferred experience with current and vintage Otis and non-Otis products • Ability to work under pressure and present to large groups • Professionalism, influence, and change-management capabilities with customers • Ability to drive accountability for the OT and field force • Periodic travel required • Must observe all Otis safety policies and procedures
