📋 Description

• Assist the MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers • Develop scopes of work for review and approval • Assist with MEP project scheduling within the overall construction schedule • Prepare MEP self-performed work estimates and assist with complete project estimates • Coordinate and manage all trades throughout the construction process • Select qualified bidders and negotiate final prices • Prepare cost-to-complete, monthly billing, and status reports • Review and coordinate P&IDs, mechanical, electrical, shop, architectural, and structural drawings • Price work and draft changes and change orders for review • Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up through completion • Schedule subcontractor work and track productivity and installed quantities • Determine materials, equipment, and tools needed and secure supply sources • Set up and close out construction sites • Serve as on-site Safety Officer when one is not assigned • Participate in the company safety portion of the QMS program • Procure tools and materials for delivery in accordance with work schedules • Direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors in planning and executing work procedures • Coordinate construction phases to prevent delays • Resolve workforce complaints and grievances • Prepare or review progress, material usage, and cost reports and adjust schedules • Establish and maintain safety and quality standards • Implement and maintain the company QMS program • Generate reports and traceability for continuous improvement • Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s on-site safety program • Lead subordinate supervisors and support staff as needed • Interview, hire, train, assign, and direct team members; appraise performance and resolve problems

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and a minimum of 10 years of construction experience, or 15 years of related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree • Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents • Strong people management skills • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets, and smartphones • MS Project and other scheduling software a plus • Strong work ethic and energetic, self-motivated approach • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate professionally • Ability to manage independently without constant direction • Must be able to travel to project sites throughout the United States and sometimes outside the U.S. • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship • Must meet physical demands including frequent lifting/moving up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting/moving up to 100 lbs • Ability to work in outdoor weather, wet/humid conditions, around moving mechanical parts, heights, fumes, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, explosives, vibration, and moderate-to-loud noise • Overtime may be required
