📋 Description

• Execute federal advocacy strategies to advance Cardinal Health’s business priorities • Build, cultivate, and maintain relationships with congressional offices, committees, and relevant stakeholders • Monitor policy developments, proposed federal legislation, regulations, congressional committees, federal agencies, and policy initiatives • Assess legislative and regulatory impacts on Cardinal Health and stakeholders and develop recommendations and solutions • Represent Cardinal Health in trade associations, coalitions, and industry working groups • Influence policy positions and coordinate advocacy strategies • Develop policy analyses, talking points, comment letters, and congressional briefing materials • Plan and execute executive engagement opportunities with elected officials and government stakeholders • Support political engagement activities, including PAC events and policymaker relationship-building initiatives • Anticipate legislative, regulatory, and political risks and opportunities and develop proactive strategies • Foster internal and external stakeholder relationships • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise • Support Government Relations strategies, policies, and processes • Drive complex short- and long-term projects across teams and functions • Mentor and support team members’ development

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university strongly preferred • 3–5+ years of experience in federal government relations, public policy, legislative affairs, or a related field strongly preferred • Recent Capitol Hill or administration experience strongly preferred • Experience with healthcare, trade, or supply chain legislative and regulatory issues • Experience with applicable governmental agencies and congressional committees • Fluency with political and legislative processes
