📋 Description

• Assist the MEP Project Manager with locating and evaluating subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers • Develop scopes of work for review and approval • Develop the MEP project schedule within the overall construction schedule • Prepare estimates for MEP self-performed work and assist with the complete project estimate • Coordinate and manage all trades throughout the build process • Select qualified bidders and negotiate final prices • Prepare cost-to-complete, monthly billing, status, progress, materials, and cost reports • Review and coordinate current P&IDs, mechanical, electrical, shop, architectural, and structural drawings issued to the field • Price work and draft changes and change orders for review • Ensure customer satisfaction • Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up through completion • Schedule subcontractor work • Track subcontractor productivity and installed quantities • Determine required materials, equipment, and tools and secure supply sources • Set up and close out construction sites • Serve as on-site Safety Officer when one is not assigned and participate in the safety portion of the QMS program • Procure tools and materials for delivery according to work schedules • Direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors in planning and executing work procedures and coordinating construction phases • Resolve workforce complaints and grievances • Adjust work schedules based on reports and direction from the MEP Project Manager • Establish and maintain safety and quality standards • Implement and maintain Gray's QMS program and generate traceability and continuous-improvement reports • Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray's on-site safety program • Interview, hire, train, assign, direct, and appraise team members; reward and discipline team members; address complaints and resolve problems • Train newer team members • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school AND a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience OR a minimum 15 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree • Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector highly desired • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem solving skills • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents • Strong people management skills • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets, and smartphones • MS Project and other scheduling software a plus • Strong work ethic; energetic, self-motivated, and collaborative • Ability to think independently and manage without direction • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship • Ability to travel to project sites throughout the United States and, in some cases, outside the U.S. • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear • Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs • Ability to work in wet/humid conditions, around moving mechanical parts, outdoors, at heights, around fumes/airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risks, explosives, vibration, and moderate to loud noise • May be required to work overtime • May lead multiple subordinate supervisors and support staff • Supervisory experience including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
