📋 Description

• Own end-to-end billing and invoicing for high-volume SMB dental practice customers, including recurring subscription billing and usage-based charges • Oversee collections workflows, timely follow-up, account resolution, and billing and collection procedures • Monitor SMB accounts receivable aging, flag risk accounts, and reduce DSO and delinquency rates • Partner with Customer Success and Support to resolve billing disputes and payment failures • Execute SMB promotions and discounts accurately in the billing system • Own billing and collections for Enterprise and DSO accounts with complex, contract-driven invoicing • Manage high-dollar customer relationships and resolve disputes or negotiate payment plans • Partner with Legal and Sales on contract terms affecting billing and collectability • Serve as escalation point for at-risk Enterprise receivables • Design and implement billing/AR systems, policies, controls, tooling, automation, credit policies, write-off procedures, and reporting • Build aging, DSO, cash forecasting, and collections effectiveness reporting for board and leadership use • Manage and grow the Billing/AR team • Identify and implement AI and automation for dunning, reconciliation, dispute triage, collections outreach, aging analysis, reporting, and payment risk scoring • Partner with RevOps and Data to pilot AI-enabled billing and collections workflows

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in billing, accounts receivable, or collections, including meaningful time in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment • Direct experience building AR/billing processes and systems from scratch • Experience managing high-volume SMB/subscription billing and complex Enterprise/contract-driven billing, or strong experience in one with aptitude for the other • High sense of urgency and comfort operating with incomplete tooling • Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills • Experience with modern billing, invoicing, or ERP systems such as NetSuite, Stripe Billing, Zuora, QuickBooks, or similar • Excellent judgment regarding customer collections and escalation • Clear, professional written and verbal communication for internal stakeholders and customer-facing collections conversations • Curiosity and proactivity in applying AI to business problems and reducing manual work • Ability to translate deal terms, discounts, and promotions into accurate billing setup and identify revenue leakage risks • Experience in healthcare, dental, or another regulated vertical with multi-location or DSO-style customer structures is nice to have • Experience partnering with Legal on contract terms affecting billing and collectability is nice to have • Prior people management experience or experience building and leading a team is nice to have
