📋 Description

• Own the finance and accounting function end-to-end, including accounting operations, financial close, reconciliations, reporting, cash management, and internal controls • Prepare financial statements and lead audit processes, ensuring accuracy, GAAP compliance, and readiness for external review • Supervise accounting personnel and maintain reliable finance processes and records • Support budgeting, forecasting, tax coordination, commissions, and management reporting • Serve as administrative liaison with the company's PEO for payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and routine compliance matters • Maintain employee documentation and coordinate approved HR policies and processes • Escalate material financial, employee-relations, legal, and compliance matters to the COO • Build and maintain relationships across stakeholders, founders, and the broader Pine ecosystem • Serve as a key leadership team member, providing management with financial and HR-related insights and recommendations • Report to the COO

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in accounting • Strong understanding of financial statement preparation • Experience with multi-entity consolidation • Strong understanding of GAAP compliance • Ability to identify and address data anomalies in financial reporting • Experience leading or supporting financial audits • Experience meeting tax requirements • Strong communication skills and ability to present complex financial information to finance and non-finance audiences • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field • Comfortable moving between strategic and tactical work • Energized by building in ambiguous environments
