📋 Description

• Design, provision, and govern all product environments, including database tiers, using infrastructure as code • Own and evolve existing CI/CD pipelines and design new pipelines for green-field projects across commit-to-production environments • Delegate pipeline work as the team grows • Steward database operations including backup/recovery, availability, capacity, and patching • Design compliance-reporting automation and infrastructure-layer access controls, including least privilege, break-glass access, safe analyst read paths, and audit support • Build CloudWatch observability that enables service-owning teams to troubleshoot their systems • Coordinate releases and environment readiness across internal and external vendor development teams • Set documentation standards for runbooks and infrastructure documentation and automate documentation maintenance • Lead and mentor engineers and serve as the senior escalation point for production incidents • Partner with application engineers to gather requirements and incorporate environment and data constraints early

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform roles • 2+ years leading the work of other engineers • Deep hands-on experience with AWS • Deep hands-on experience with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure as code • Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD • Experience with containers on ECS/Fargate and ECR, or comparable container-orchestration experience • Working familiarity with relational database operations, including backup/recovery, availability, and capacity • Experience with SQL Server, Postgres, or managed database equivalents • Hands-on compliance work, such as SOC 2 or similar, in a regulated industry • Regulated-industry judgment • Legal-industry experience is a plus, not a requirement • Deep DBA specialization is not required • Data modeling or data-warehouse experience is not needed
