• Provide direct client care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment • Perform psychiatric diagnostic evaluations to determine diagnoses, treatment strategies, and care coordination needs • Provide psychiatric and/or medical services according to medical standards, timelines, and applicable licensing-board requirements • Apply medical knowledge and skills to diagnose, prevent, and treat illnesses • Maintain timely, complete, accurate, and legible medical records • Perform clinical and billing documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations, clinical necessity, and coding standards • Perform pharmacologic treatment strategies; order medications; monitor and evaluate treatment progress • Order, obtain, and assess laboratory tests and diagnostics; base clinical decisions on laboratory interpretation • Assure timely access to care, demonstrate scheduling flexibility, and meet productivity standards • Assume responsibility for psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, prescribing, and/or administering treatment • Collaborate with MD or DO on challenging or complex cases • Remain compliant with state Psychiatry laws and regulations, including supervised-hour requirements, CME, and timely assessments with a supervising physician • Support patients virtually and/or in clinic via telehealth across Colorado and New Mexico
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with certification in Psychiatry • Must currently reside in Colorado or New Mexico and be licensed • Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Practitioner program, required • Current licensed practitioner with full active and unrestricted licensure in the state of practice (CO and NM) • Active state DEA License required • 1 year of EMR systems experience preferred • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams • Understanding of regulatory compliance and documentation requirements in MAT settings • Willingness to be cross-trained in Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) • Mental health providers do not prescribe controlled substances
