• Own strategic new business development within the assigned region, focusing on prospective GPO members, health systems, hospitals, IDNs, and priority healthcare customers • Develop and execute regional market penetration strategies aligned with enterprise sales and account management priorities • Identify, qualify, and pursue high-value enterprise opportunities supporting revenue, bookings, GPO membership growth, and market expansion • Lead complex executive-level sales pursuits from prospecting through close, including discovery, solution positioning, proposals, negotiation, and contracting • Build relationships with C-suite and senior healthcare decision-makers • Serve as opportunity owner and coordinate internal resources throughout the sales cycle • Translate Premier’s enterprise value proposition into customer-specific business cases • Partner with the Regional Vice President, Account Management on regional growth, retention, expansion, customer transition planning, and handoff to account management, implementation, and customer success • Build and manage a strategic regional pipeline and develop pursuit strategies, competitive assessments, stakeholder maps, win themes, messaging, and deal plans • Create proposals, ROI narratives, financial models, and executive presentations • Apply sales methodology and deal management practices to improve pipeline quality, sales velocity, forecast accuracy, and close rates • Maintain pipeline, forecast, opportunity, and customer activity documentation in Salesforce • Partner cross-functionally with sales, account management, advisory services, technology, finance, legal, implementation, marketing, and other stakeholders • Provide regional market intelligence, customer feedback, competitive insights, and best practices to inform go-to-market strategy and solution development
• 12 or more years of applicable experience • Bachelor’s degree required • Minimum of 15 years of experience in enterprise sales focused on B2B healthcare sales • At least 10 years of experience selling directly into the U.S. healthcare provider market • Proven track record in new logo acquisition, including securing new GPO contracts and closing large, complex enterprise deals • Consistent history of meeting and exceeding new business sales quotas • Experience selling complex enterprise solutions and services required • Proficiency with CRM software, particularly Salesforce • Master’s degree listed under preferred qualifications • Executive presence and ability to engage C-suite and senior healthcare leaders • Deep C-suite relationships within the served market or territory • Advanced consultative and strategic selling skills • Strong regional market strategy, whitespace identification, pipeline management, forecasting, account planning, and CRM discipline • Understanding of healthcare provider markets, health systems, hospitals, IDNs, GPOs, procurement processes, and competitive dynamics • Strong financial and business acumen, including ROI models, business cases, and executive presentations • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills • Ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and advance multiple complex opportunities • Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods and perform sedentary work • Ability to adapt, change priorities quickly, meet deadlines, operate computer programs, communicate effectively, make independent decisions, and work collaboratively
