📋 Description

• Own and manage critical business processes across Qualus' standard ownership domains • Direct, train, coordinate, and provide oversight of overhead transmission engineering operations • Serve as functional leader of the service line • Manage service line financials • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Implement best-practice engineering methods and develop and deliver training programs • Collaborate with other service lines to bid on and complete projects, cross-train employees, and share best practices • Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and top management • Develop goals and strategies supporting organizational objectives • Create and develop drawing packages for bidding, construction, as-built, and submittal purposes • Ensure the service line has necessary software, hardware, and field tools • Develop and enforce engineering policies, practices, and QA/QC adherence • Improve cost-efficiency and support employee satisfaction and engagement • Assist with project scopes, budgets, and schedules • Monitor regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to electric transmission engineering • Provide technical direction and assistance to others • Support business development and pursuit activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similarly related engineering discipline • Registered as a Professional Engineer • Ten (10) or more years of engineering experience, preferably related to utility infrastructure design • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience leading engineering teams • Extensive knowledge of engineering design for the service line and related fields • Advanced knowledge of applicable design software • Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including computer applications • Extensive knowledge of field techniques for construction • Extensive knowledge of surveying techniques, practices, and procedures • Extensive knowledge of safe working practices related to electric transmission lines • Extensive knowledge of project management practices and financials • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard business applications • Ability to communicate with all organizational levels and stakeholders • Ability to plan and accomplish tasks within established timelines • Ability to analyze problems and develop strategic and functional solutions • Willingness to travel up to 15% annually • Valid driver's license
