📋 Description

• Own end-to-end architecture of the global data center fabric, including spine-leaf, Clos-based designs, EVPN/VXLAN overlays, and high-density, low-latency topologies • Architect and evolve the enterprise WAN, including MPLS, SD-WAN, dark fiber, and DWDM transport • Architect high-bandwidth, non-blocking network fabrics for HPC, GPU cluster, and distributed storage workloads • Define routing and control-plane architecture across BGP, OSPF, and EVPN • Lead capacity planning and lifecycle strategy for data center and WAN infrastructure • Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex, service-impacting incidents and drive root-cause analysis and remediation • Own delivery metrics including network availability, MTTR, and RTO/RPO targets for clinical failover scenarios • Coordinate incident communication and downtime procedures with hospital IT, clinical/nursing informatics, and biomedical engineering teams • Partner with network security architecture teams on segmentation, firewall policy, and access-control designs • Develop automation and infrastructure-as-code practices using Python, Ansible, or equivalent • Plan and execute network changes around clinical change-freeze windows and blackout periods • Research, evaluate, and recommend data center, WAN, and HPC networking technologies and vendors • Lead implementation planning and peer design reviews for infrastructure initiatives • Create and maintain architecture documentation, LLD/HLD artifacts, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures • Mentor and provide technical guidance to network engineers and architects • Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning • Design network architecture supporting EHR/EMR, PACS/medical imaging, HL7/FHIR engines, connected medical devices, nurse call, paging, and emergency communication systems • Ensure designs align with HIPAA, HITRUST, and other healthcare compliance requirements • Maintain audit-ready evidence of network segmentation and PHI data-flow controls • Architect tenant-to-tenant traffic isolation across shared infrastructure • Support high-availability architecture for mission-critical healthcare environments • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting clinical operations

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or regional equivalent required • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a related field • CCNP or higher required (Enterprise, Data Center, or Service Provider track) • 15+ years of progressive network engineering/architecture experience required • Hands-on experience architecting data center fabric and WAN transport • Demonstrated experience building high-bandwidth, low-latency network fabric for HPC or other data-intensive compute workloads • Demonstrated experience architecting network infrastructure for health systems, payers, or healthcare SaaS platforms required • Direct experience in HIPAA/HITRUST-regulated environments, clinical system connectivity, and supporting customer compliance audits • Expert-level knowledge of data center fabric architecture, spine-leaf design, VXLAN/EVPN overlays, and multi-site fabric interconnect • Expert-level knowledge of WAN architecture, including MPLS, SD-WAN, and optical/DWDM transport design • Advanced knowledge of BGP and OSPF design, troubleshooting, and traffic engineering • Strong knowledge of network security architecture • Working knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, and Palo Alto Networks platforms • Working knowledge of healthcare IT infrastructure, HIPAA, HITRUST, EHR/EMR, PACS, and clinical/biomedical device connectivity • Working knowledge of Business Associate Agreement (BAA) implications • Ability to participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays • CCIE strongly preferred • Familiarity with HL7/FHIR interface engines and medical device network integration • Experience with cloud on-ramp and hybrid connectivity, such as AWS Direct Connect or Azure ExpressRoute • Exposure to network detection and response or traffic analysis tools • Must be able to travel occasionally, domestically and internationally, less than 25%
