📋 Description

• Translate product requirements into robust technical solutions and recommend alternative approaches • Lead engineering efforts to meet ambitious targets • Design and implement reliable systems and applications in a fully distributed microservices architecture • Build and maintain integrations with third-party vendors and partners • Design and implement highly available RESTful APIs for user-facing web and mobile applications • Create reusable code and libraries for future scalability • Enforce observability practices using logging, metrics, and alerting systems • Create and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, APIs, workflows, and system configurations • Monitor systems to maximize performance and scalability • Work with international product and engineering teams across banking, payroll, and timekeeping domains

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as an engineer • Strong ability to take ownership of projects and drive initiatives from concept to completion • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills • Familiarity with complex large-scale distributed systems • Proficiency in Go/Golang • Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs • Expertise in SQL and NoSQL database technologies, including data model design and optimization • Proven experience building reliable and scalable user-facing applications • Proficiency in message queuing systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Flink • Familiarity with cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, GCP, serverless, Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS • Effective release management experience for zero-downtime deployments • Experience with CI/CD frameworks such as GitLab CI and GitHub Actions • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Must answer application questions about Go, Kafka, SQL/Postgres, RESTful APIs, fintech/financial services, and AI tools
