📋 Description

• Design and guide implementations of Red Hat OpenShift infrastructure projects involving container and virtualization technologies • Implement automated, containerized solutions focused on networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and system resilience • Learn and apply container orchestration, container registries, container build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networks • Travel frequently to work alongside financial services, retail, telecommunication, and institutional customers • Complete intensive training on Kubernetes, OpenShift, DevOps, and GitOps technologies • Build production-ready container and virtualization platforms integrated with enterprise systems • Deploy source code into scalable containers and virtual machines through automated enterprise-scale processes • Deliver customer requirements collaboratively using Red Hat OpenShift • Develop customer use cases into project plans aligned with Red Hat technologies • Implement complex, large-scale container platform solutions in challenging customer environments • Help other consultants implement large-scale IT solutions paired with container technologies • Contribute lessons learned, best practices, and how-tos to internal and external communities of practice • Apply new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to container platforms

🎯 Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a technical discipline • Experience leading successful modern cloud platform enterprise-level projects • Deep Linux (RHEL) and automated hardware provisioning, including BIOS/UEFI, RAID, BMC/Redfish, and Kickstart/Cobbler • Advanced networking knowledge: L2/L3 concepts, DHCP/DNS, load balancing, CNI (OVN-K, Calico, SR-IOV), and network security/firewall policies • Kubernetes/OpenShift expertise in cluster architecture, lifecycle management, bare-metal deployment patterns, Day-2 operations, Operators, and GitOps • Storage expertise including distributed/local storage, RAID/NVMe, performance tuning, and data management/DR using Velero, OADP, and Ceph/ODF • Strong proficiency in Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code tools including Terraform and Helm • Scripting experience with Bash, Python, and Go • Linux/Kubernetes hardening, RBAC, SCC, network policies, TLS/PKI, NIST, and CIS • Logging and monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK • Advanced platform/network troubleshooting, including etcd, kernel, and tcpdump • Knowledge of common add-ons or third-party tools, including Aria/vRealize Suite, SRM, backup software, and performance tools • Broad and deep technical experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, VM lifecycle operations, VMware logging and alerting, [S/DV]Switches/NSX, Datastores, vSAN, and vVols • Experience with one or more vertical industry areas • Ability to lead design workshops, create clear documentation, and provide knowledge transfer for Day-0/1/2 planning • Demonstrated strategic advisory experience with senior IT and business executives • Applied knowledge and experience working in agile, scrum, and DevOps teams • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills • Willingness to travel to customer locations about 20–30 weeks per year throughout North America • Must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business • Must be located anywhere in the U.S. within close proximity to an airport
