📋 Description

• Maintain QuickBooks Online for Red Wine & Blue’s family of independent entities, including a 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and Federal PAC • Manage cash receipts, disbursements, journal entries, donations, receipts, and pledges • Manage cash flow, forecasting, banking activity, and relationships with financial institutions • Lead organizational budgeting, realignment, and variance tracking • Prepare financial statements and General P&L reports by class and location • Review and synchronize financial data and budgets between Ramp and QuickBooks Online • Reconcile and allocate Ramp credit card transactions and reimbursements • Review payroll filing accuracy through BambooHR • Manage state tax registrations and withholding setup for new states • Oversee workers’ compensation compliance, audits, and reporting • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger, including journal entries and cost allocation • Ensure contractor 1099 accuracy • Conduct quarterly cost allocation and journal entry reviews across three entities • Ensure proper fund transfers and documentation • Track programmatic spending forecasts with external legal counsel and the Chief of Staff • Coordinate federal, state, and local compliance filings with outside consultants • Manage the annual 990 tax return • Manage the biannual external audit process • Develop and enforce financial and procurement policies and approval workflows • Administer QuickBooks Online and Ramp systems and access permissions • Allocate and report benefits expenses • Support benefits open enrollment and plan renewal from a budget and cost perspective • Provide financial modeling and data for multi-year strategic planning • Ensure grant spending complies with restricted fund terms and reporting requirements • Provide revenue and pledge projections for fundraising leadership • Prepare financial reports and documents for fundraising proposals and grant reports • Support additional projects and duties as needed • Report to the Chief People Officer and supervise no team members • Travel occasionally for in-person meetings and all-staff gatherings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in finance/accounting, ideally in non-profit, advocacy, or multi-entity environments • QuickBooks Online experience required • Ramp experience strongly preferred • Working knowledge of payroll administration, multi-state payroll tax compliance, and 1099 reporting • Familiarity with 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), Federal PAC fund accounting, and cost allocation strongly preferred • Strong communication skills, including explaining complex financial concepts to laypeople • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Integrity, trustworthiness, and reliability • Technology proficiency and ability to adapt to new tools and platforms • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work effectively with people across diverse backgrounds and job types • Flexibility with ambiguous work and competing priorities • Ability to prioritize tasks and plan work effectively • Growth mindset and openness to risk-taking and feedback • Passion for the organization’s mission and a playful approach to work • Must currently live in one of the 14 operating states or Washington, D.C.
