📋 Description

• Perform accounting and financial management outsourcing services for public school districts, municipalities, community mental health authorities, and other governmental entities • Maintain accounting systems, including cost allocations and periodic general journal entries • Create budgets and financial forecasts/projections • Supervise client accounting and finance staff as required • Prepare internal and external financial reporting, including annual closing, analysis, and audit assistance • Assist with grant management, accounting, and reporting • Participate in internal management meetings, including board and related committee meetings • Build internal relationships to foster teamwork and collaboration • Provide a “wow” experience to every client • Contribute to the success of clients’ organizations

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years relevant audit experience in public accounting or a public sector entity • Understanding of GASB and government fund accounting • Understanding of clients’ business systems and industry requirements • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to self-direct and manage multiple projects and deadlines • Ability to lead and motivate staff and senior-level associates • Bachelor’s degree in a related field • Licensed CPA or other certification highly desirable, but not required • Career oriented and seeking advancement
