📋 Description

• Acquire, configure, and maintain development, test, and production servers • Support development, test, and production servers, including after-hours support and monitoring server usage and uptime • Interface with vendors to obtain equipment and software while meeting audit and budget controls • Design, implement, and maintain high-performing, highly available systems according to architecture specifications, service or operation level agreements, and best practices • Provide technical and procedural direction for implementation of network servers • Interface with internal users, development personnel, technical staff, departments, customers, and external parties • Provide direction in complex problem-solving situations and identify server-related process improvements • Build and maintain materials describing server activity levels and required next steps • Provide regular status reports, gather departmental requirements, and contribute to infrastructure product decisions • Provide technical support for voice and data network systems • Provide design and technical support for voice, instant messaging, meeting, and presence environments • Design and perform server and security audits, backup procedures, and recovery processes aligned with disaster recovery and business continuity strategies • Collaborate with Operations, Quality Assurance, and third-party data centers on network topologies, server configurations, deployments, firewall configurations, and administrative tasks • Ensure timely delivery of hardware upgrades, network upgrades, and new configurations • Document technical requirements, develop and oversee project plans, and implement change control procedures • Facilitate design sessions and architectural reviews and participate in technical advisory roles • Mentor associates and foster a learning and growth environment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Networking (or related area) • 3+ years maintaining and supporting a Microsoft environment in Azure, clustering, communications, storage, and virtualization technologies • Knowledge and experience provisioning, managing, monitoring, and decommissioning cloud services • Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and management through scripting • Strong scripting skills • Knowledge of multi-tier architectures, including load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking • Familiarity developing with RESTful API interfaces • Basic understanding of relational and non-relational databases • Familiarity with messaging and queuing services • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, integration, deployment, performance monitoring and tuning, and infrastructure automation • Advanced engineering, administration, and maintenance of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices, and network management systems • Strong record of managing/completing projects across various computing platforms • Strong written and oral communication and critical thinking skills • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and work independently and in a team environment • Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment • Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products • On-call availability for roughly 1 week per month • Occasional travel between training locations required • Ability to perform the listed physical requirements, including prolonged sitting, computer work, cable inspection, and lifting moderately heavy objects
