📋 Description

• Lead and grow two teams: UX for human onboarding and activation, and Agent Platform for programmatic interfaces • Own Render's self-serve user journey from first touch through activation, initial monetization, usage expansion, feature adoption, and PQL graduation • Drive the agent-facing platform experience through the MCP, CLI, API, SDK, and Blueprints • Partner with product and design teams to align roadmaps with customer, growth, and platform needs • Hire and develop engineers to support team growth • Maintain clear team identities and focus areas as the teams scale • Make architectural and product decisions balancing long-term platform investment with iterative onboarding and activation improvements • Build performance management and career development practices for a team including senior individual contributors

🎯 Requirements

• Strong people leadership • Hands-on enough to review code, prototype, and contribute directly when helpful • Comfort operating in ambiguity, with adaptability and a growth mindset • Proven experience building and scaling more than one team • Experience managing and developing senior (IC5+) engineers, including hiring and performance management • Ability to partner closely with product and design • Strong product instincts connecting engineering investment to growth and activation outcomes • Startup background preferred, though larger-company experience may also work • Prior growth-focused engineering experience is a nice-to-have • Experience building developer- or agent-facing product experiences and integrating with AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude, or Cursor is a nice-to-have • Background in developer platforms or DevTools is a nice-to-have • Experience helping a team split or reorganize as it scales is a nice-to-have • Applicants requiring visa sponsorship must receive business authorization; the position is generally not eligible for new visa sponsorship
