📋 Description

• Coordinate and direct process development, process improvement, and operations management activities • Interface with production employees, supervisors, engineers, management, vendors, and customers • Lead investigations into quality issues from internal production, suppliers, and customers • Find root causes and implement permanent corrective actions • Conduct internal and supplier audits • Collect, analyze, and report quality KPIs such as scrap levels, rework rates, and PPM • Support implementation and adherence to QMS such as ISO 9001 and AS 9100 • Update QMS documentation and set guidelines • Manage supplier quality by reviewing and validating PPAP submissions • Resolve supplier quality concerns • Improve manufacturing processes and product quality to enhance efficiency and reduce costs • Collaborate cross-functionally and with external stakeholders to resolve quality issues • Develop and execute product testing procedures • Inspect raw materials and finished goods against specifications • Resolve quality problems for internal and external stakeholders • Assist in developing quality assurance systems and monitor quality metrics

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field • 5+ years of quality engineering experience within aerospace, defense, space, or a high-reliability manufacturing environment • Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems • Experience with nonconformance management, MRB, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation • Working knowledge of inspection methods, measurement equipment, and manufacturing quality practices • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Experience with supplier quality management, supplier corrective actions, and incoming inspection • Experience with aerospace electronics, EEE components, mechanical components, or propulsion systems • Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 requirements • Experience with quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, and CAPA • Experience supporting internal, customer, or regulatory audits • ASQ certification or other relevant quality certification • Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma are desirable • Knowledge of ERP systems • Ability to operate and interpret data from micrometers, calipers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) • Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
