📋 Description

• Develop, implement, educate and monitor clinical programs meeting Professional Nursing Standard of Care and Nursing Standard of Practice • Advise and support facilities with State and Federal Survey Regulations for Medicare and Medicaid Licensure and Certification, especially Infection Prevention, Control & Immunization • Assist facilities with endemic, epidemic, and pandemic disease outbreaks • Assist with plans of corrections and Allegations of Compliance for survey deficiencies; review documents before submission • Monitor facility compliance with submitted plans of correction • Oversee reportable events submitted to the Health Department and assist with issue correction • Train facility administration and staff on nursing standards and survey regulations • Assist Administrators with hiring, training, and disciplinary actions for Directors of Nursing • Conduct monthly Regional DON meetings for clinical program training and DON development • Assist facilities with clinical, MDS, dietary, social services, and regulatory policies and education • Assist DONs with staffing structure and nursing PPD • Visit facilities to assess and train clinical staff; create action plans • Attend regional meetings and provide clinical insight • Provide oversight and direction to the MDS department • Conduct monthly Regional MDS meetings for training and CMI development; monitor and assist with RAC audits • Develop regional tracking and trending reports for clinical metrics related to CMS 5-star ratings and help facilities improve ratings • Assist facilities with clinical risk management • Assist facility defense attorneys with lawsuits, depositions, reports, and document production • Review record requests for appropriate document release

🎯 Requirements

• Required - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent • Accredited Nursing Program Degree • 20+ years of Clinical and Management experience preferred • Preferred experience: MDS certified, Legal Nurse Consultant or Risk Management experience • Previous Regional or Corporate Nurse experience • Experience with CMS/OIG surveys including Jeopardy citations • PCC knowledge
