📋 Description

• Lead the design, planning and implementation of an organization-wide strategic technical training program • Build a comprehensive, structured on-the-job training program for departmental leaders and trainers • Interface with senior leaders and cross-functional business process owners and secure resources for training strategy execution • Lead and mentor training colleagues • Lead a team responsible for standardized training across operations • Create and execute technical training strategy for Waste to Energy, Transfer Stations, Environmental Solutions and Profiled Waste • Prepare curriculum for new entry-level employees, beginning with Safety • Develop role- and activity-based curricula and site training capabilities using a train-the-trainer approach • Monitor learning maturity and continuously improve training systems and programs • Align training approaches and systems with enterprise resources and enable just-in-time or real-time instructional training • Serve as business process owner for technical training and technician-level qualification training • Maintain safe, standardized, role-based training infrastructure compliant with regulations and licensing requirements • Develop immersive and simulation-based training methodologies • Tie learning objectives to business outcomes with measurement criteria • Work cross-functionally with enterprise and site training leads to ensure consistent methodology, processes, systems and tools • Develop training materials for plant employees • Analyze data, identify training needs, and develop training programs and materials • Coordinate training content with subject matter experts • Support regulatory training, reporting and inspections • Translate policies and procedures into training materials with the QA team • Create standard work for safety, environmental, technical, procedural, equipment, business condition, regulatory and process training • Manage the GPiLEARN+ Training Program and organizational LMS, including reports, compliance readiness, seat-license renewal and invoicing • Develop, update and track on-the-job technical training completion • Monitor departmental training activities • Maintain liaison with supported areas and other plant sites • Write, issue and update job aids and training documents • Support departmental and site training through regional technical training specialists • Update curricula and course materials • Provide oversight and support to Regional Technical Training Specialists, including performance reviews • Improve training content and methodology • Serve as a training resource for projects and process/equipment implementation • Stay current with training authoring software and delivery technology

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of related experience creating technical training and leading a team of technical trainers in a manufacturing environment, particularly focused on operations and maintenance • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Science or Education/Development • Experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of manufacturing principles and techniques • Experience training both technical and non-technical subjects • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak in large group settings • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others • Ability to solve problems using LEAN methodologies to determine root cause and develop a sound plan • Strategic planning skills and a long-range perspective • Ability to implement training programs with broad instruction and significant latitude
