📋 Description

• Deliver an industry-leading claims experience for all policyholders • Initiate investigations of claims involving fires and thefts • Make prompt and courteous contact with all involved parties • Maintain and update a task for each claim in the adjuster’s daily agenda • Respond to claim correspondence in a timely and quality manner • Resolve claims by investigating loss details, policy coverages, and submitted documentation • Compose written correspondence to inform policyholders accurately of coverage decisions • Work closely with SIU and third-party vendors • Ensure legal compliance by following company policies and state and federal insurance regulations • Provide input for the continuous development of claims guidelines and best practices • Recommend potential product developments and process improvements • Interact and communicate effectively with customers, peers, vendors, and managers • Engage in learning opportunities covering personal lines claims, relevant court decisions, claims guidelines, and policy changes and modifications

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of successful experience handling insurance claims, with direct responsibility for coverage decisions, issuing payments, taking recorded statements, responding to correspondence, and following supervisors’ instructions • Currently licensed in-home state if the state requires an Adjuster or Appraiser License • Ability to obtain and maintain insurance licenses in several states, including Texas, within three months • High sense of professionalism while remaining empathetic • Familiarity with claims best practices required • Curious in nature • Great attention to detail • Ability to approach problems with an open mind • Must be on camera for virtual interviews to proceed with the application process
