📋 Description

• Deliver an industry-leading claims experience for policyholders and claimants • Confirm coverage and determine liability for a wide range of accident scenarios • Make prompt and courteous contact with every party involved in a claim • Maintain and update a diary/schedule for each claim in the adjuster's pending • Respond to claim correspondence in a timely fashion with very high quality • Obtain detailed accident descriptions from drivers, passengers, and witnesses • Coordinate repair of damaged vehicles and assist with rental reimbursement • Set and maintain a loss reserve for every claim in the adjuster's pending • Evaluate and settle non-severe injury claims • Provide input for continuous development of claims guidelines and best practices • Recommend potential product developments and process improvements • Interact and communicate effectively with customers, peers, vendors, and managers • Engage in learning opportunities covering personal lines claims, relevant court decisions, current claims guidelines, and policy changes and modifications

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred • 2+ years of successful experience handling personal auto insurance claims across multiple states, with direct responsibility for coverage decisions, liability determinations, issuing payments, taking recorded statements, responding to correspondence, requesting supervisor authority, and negotiating third-party bodily injury settlements • Demonstrated high-quality claim handling balanced with strong productivity • Strong technical understanding of liability and casualty principles • Aptitude to quickly learn and apply new concepts • Coachable and committed to professional growth • Experience managing complex personal auto claims through closure • Viewed as a resource within the team and functional area • High sense of professionalism while remaining empathetic • Familiarity with claims best practices required • Curious in nature • Great attention to detail • Ability to approach problems with an open mind • Must be on camera for virtual interviews
