📋 Description

• Remain available throughout agreed hours of coverage for contact by the RMI Global Coordination Centre • Deploy to predefined medical facilities and meet and greet RMI patients within one hour of notification from the GCC, or other agreed timeframes • Work with the GCC to ensure payment methods are agreed with receiving medical facilities • Mediate between medical facilities and the GCC when applicable • Ensure swift access to care and resolve problems pragmatically and professionally • Translate from the local dialect to English in verbal and written forms and relay information to the GCC • Deploy daily to medical facilities during protracted inpatient stays • Manage patient welfare throughout admission, ensuring comfort, understanding of treatment, and reasonable support requests • Establish working relationships with treating physicians and obtain current information from the medical team • Provide timely written and verbal updates to the GCC regarding patient status and proposed plans • Liaise professionally and confidently with client management as required • Use local knowledge to arrange other services as required

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a medical healthcare professional in the area of operation • Bilingual local language and dialect (as per area of operation), and English • Experience providing patient advocacy in remote/international areas, preferred • Foreign travel experience • Excellent communication skills and professionalism • Demonstrated self-discipline • Ability to integrate into a cross-cultural social structure • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer and technology literacy preferred • Valid driver's license for area of operation, preferred
