📋 Description

• Develop PCB designs from conception through manufacturing • Create PCB, Circuit Card Assembly, and schematic drawings for suppliers • Perform schematic capture, component placement, trace routing, and Gerber/ODB++ file creation • Use Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and BluePrint-PCB for drawings • Design rigid, flex, and rigid-flex assemblies • Execute full designs, re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects • Interface daily with engineering personnel across Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility disciplines • Ensure overall design requirements are captured while considering cost, cycle time, and producibility • Travel to El Segundo, California approximately three times per year

🎯 Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience • Minimum of 8 years of experience • At least two of the following: previous work history with PCB or CCA manufacturing principles affecting circuitry and component layout; experience with the electrical design process; experience laying out Rigid, Flex, or Rigid-Flex boards • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance • U.S. citizenship required • Active and existing DoD Confidential security clearance required after day 1 • Working knowledge of Analog, Digital including DDR, RF, Power, and mixed technology • Experience with multi-layer designs using HDI technology • Technical PCB design skills using the Siemens design toolset, including Xpedition and BluePrint • Knowledge of schematic capture, placement, routing, auto-router, constraint manager, and library tools • Ability to export manufacturing data in Gerber and ODB++ formats • Experience with Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing rule sets, and Design Rule Checking software • Ability to understand and interpret PCB and CCA drawings • Familiarity with IPC 6012 and IPC 6013 • Working knowledge of military and commercial design standards, GD&T techniques, and electronic packaging producibility considerations • Knowledge of RF circuitry and filter layout • Working knowledge of operating system concepts and implementations and network services related to Microsoft Windows suites • Active Secret DoD security clearance preferred
