📋 Description

• Automate and improve reliability while advancing resilient and reproducible ARINCDirect infrastructure • Own service availability, performance, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning • Create, improve, and manage environments using accurate, data-driven resource allocation and capacity insights • Maintain physical infrastructure using Linux • Facilitate migration toward Kubernetes and declarative infrastructure • Influence technology decisions and direction for the ARINCDirect platform • Collaborate with SREs and other engineering teams to design dependable, scalable solutions and services • Identify, implement, and champion process improvements aligned with company goals and industry best practices • Develop understanding of networking, operating systems, databases, and related technologies • Design and maintain high-availability architectures for critical systems • Develop automation and scripting to streamline operational tasks • Participate in the shared SRE on-call rotation

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship now or in the future • Experience as an SRE, Platform Engineer, or related position in a Linux or UNIX environment • Experience working on large, complex infrastructures and/or projects using Docker and Kubernetes • Experience automating configuration and infrastructure with SaltStack, Ansible, Terraform, or other declarative languages • Experience with hardware, including servers, network switches, and cabling • Experience managing infrastructure using GitOps with continuous delivery pipelines • Proficiency in at least one of Python, Linux Shell, bash, awk, or sed • Experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent RDBMS and SQL • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS • Understanding of SRE principles, observability solutions, metrics, SLOs, and KPIs • Understanding of IT infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and NFS • Understanding of network segmentation, routing, and VPNs • Ability to participate in a shared on-call rotation • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
