📋 Description

• Serve as a senior organizational leader and strategic partner to the Head of Engineering and Engineering Leadership Team • Shape how Engineering operates, makes decisions, and executes against critical goals • Drive impact through influence, collaboration, and organizational insight • Own key operational rhythms • Tackle ambiguous challenges and diagnose organizational friction • Design actionable plans for cross-functional execution • Bring innovative thinking to departmental workflows • Leverage modern tools and AI to remove operational toil • Communicate as a strategic peer to senior technical leaders • Turn high-level vision into sustainable organizational success • Track delegated execution and progress through completion

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of related professional experience • Direct experience as an engineer, EM, or technical program leader inside a software organization • Experience serving as a strategic partner or Chief of Staff to a CTO, Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering, or other senior technical executive • Track record of diagnosing organizational or operational problems, designing plans, delegating execution, and tracking progress to completion • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to influence senior leaders, facilitate complex decisions, challenge assumptions constructively, and create stakeholder alignment • Experience navigating fast-moving environments with adaptability and resourcefulness • Ability to turn unstructured challenges into clear, repeatable practices • Ability to translate company and technology strategy into organizational priorities, operating plans, and measurable outcomes • Personal fluency with AI tools and experience applying AI to improve an organizational process • Preferred: Chief of Staff, Engineering Operations, or similar experience reporting to a senior engineering executive • Preferred: Experience in a high-growth or rapidly scaling technology company • Preferred: Healthcare technology or other highly regulated or complex industry experience • Preferred: Organizational design, workforce planning, or change management/transformation experience • Preferred: Prior individual contributor engineering experience writing and shipping code • Must be based in the United States; currently not hiring in Hawaii • Must be eligible to work in the United States
