📋 Description

• Oversee daily operations of contract carriers, including contractor schedules and route monitoring • Maintain reports and foster positive working relationships with contract carriers and helpers • Develop and mentor staff to reach goals • Train staff on company policies and procedures • Interview, hire, discipline, and resolve employee issues • Ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies, procedures, and programs • Supervise employees, plan and direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, and resolve complaints and problems • Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes • Manage dispatch of contract carriers and resolve issues throughout the day • Identify problem areas and restructure routes to improve operational efficiencies • Train and develop contract carriers and dispatchers to meet and exceed customer expectations • Ensure work is completed accurately and within established time frames • Ensure photos are taken for every job • Allocate and request additional resources as needed

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, days, evenings, nights, and weekends • Occasional travel between branches and regions • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or similar (preferred) • Experience mentoring, training, and guiding newer/less-experienced team members • Bilingual English/Spanish, including reading, writing, and speaking both languages (preferred) • Strong business acumen and willingness to act in partnership with management teams • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test if required after a conditional offer • Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employment eligibility
