📋 Description

• Support Ryder's Continuous Improvement culture across the business • Apply continuous improvement methods to new and existing operations • Identify, lead, and drive operational change through data-driven continuous improvement, engineering, and automation efforts • Collect data, perform statistical analysis, map and document processes, identify process gaps, and implement improvements • Develop and execute transformation plans to drive customer value • Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development metrics • Manage and complete high-impact continuous improvement projects • Support start-ups, retrofits, and expansions, including pricing inputs, go-live, and steady-state certifications • Identify and support automation projects • Interact regularly with account management and customers • Coach employees in continuous improvement, quality assurance, and Lean principles • Apply engineering methods including product slotting, labor time studies, layouts, flow optimization, data profiling, and resource modeling • Potentially supervise continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals and participate in hiring, coaching, and performance management • Facilitate and execute Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events, including A3 charter creation, pre-work, results delivery, and sustainment • Coach process owners on Lean methods and operational excellence • Report data and actions against site objectives • Make inventory and supply chain strategy recommendations • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain the QMS • Implement and monitor a standardized corrective action system • Support regulatory compliance and certification requirements • Perform Quality Assurance functions for start-ups or expansions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain and 7+ years of related work experience; or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management and 5+ years of related experience; if MBA, undergraduate degree in Engineering • 7+ years of related work experience in Warehousing & Transportation and/or Manufacturing • Expert Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio • Intermediate proficiency in data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX, etc.) preferred • Intermediate proficiency in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, Management Accountability Systems, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and 5S/Workplace Organization • Advanced understanding and experience in engineering and data analysis functions, including slotting, utilization, labor planning, layouts, and metrics • Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management operations, data analytics, Industrial Engineering, warehouse types, warehouse layout/design, Lean methods, material handling solutions, and automation • Lean Six Sigma certification required • cPMP, ISO/QMS, and APICS and/or Supply Chain Logistics Certification preferred • Up to 10%-15% travel
