📋 Description

• Support Ryder's Continuous Improvement culture across transportation operations • Identify and implement operational change through data-driven continuous improvement, engineering, and automation efforts • Improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development metrics • Collect data, perform statistical analysis, and map and document processes • Identify process gaps and recommend and implement process improvements • Develop and execute continuous improvement and transformation plans • Manage and complete continuous improvement and steady-state engineering projects • Assess CI initiatives and provide recommendations for future activities • Support automation projects and interact regularly with operations management • Apply engineering methodologies, Lean tools, and quality standards • Apply product slotting, labor time studies, layout and flow optimization, data profiling and analysis, and resource modeling • Facilitate and execute Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events, including A3 charter creation, pre-work, results delivery, and sustainment follow-up • Provide regular reports on data and actions against site objectives • Make Supply Chain strategy recommendations • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline • 3 years or more of related work experience in the Transportation or Supply Chain Industry • Transportation experience in Transportation Management, Dedicated, FTL, or LTL • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, with emphasis on Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio • Basic/required knowledge of Lean tools/processes, including 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, and problem solving • Beginner-level understanding and experience in core engineering and data analysis functions, including slotting, utilization, labor planning, and metrics • Effective interpersonal skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across all organizational levels • Ability to work independently and as a team member • Flexibility and self-direction in a fast-paced environment • Multitasking, organization, and time management skills • Strong Continuous Improvement mentality • Ability to manage CI projects from beginning to sustained results • Change implementation skills • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, and database programming such as SQL and DAX preferred • Knowledge of Dedicated Services, Managed Transportation Networks, equipment types, transportation design tools, transportation management systems, and mapping software preferred
