📋 Description

• Design and develop learning solutions based on learning science and educational technology research • Manage complex design projects independently with small, agile teams • Design rigorous testing approaches for strategic initiatives, including protocols, instruments, measurement frameworks, hypotheses, success criteria, and decision points • Partner with prototype teams to translate instructional approaches and design challenges into experiments, iterations, and production-ready recommendations • Convert applied research and emerging literature on AI, assessment, student engagement, and learning science into pilot designs, test plans, and operational playbooks • Apply methodological rigor to pilot and prototype testing • Integrate research-based practices for diverse learner populations and support personalization • Analyze faculty needs across faculty models • Integrate robust, aligned, and valid assessment methods • Develop technical specifications and use cases for learning technology • Collaborate with user testing teams using user testing, learner analysis, and feedback mechanisms • Support development and continuous improvement teams in operationalizing design models • Collaborate with stakeholders to document and scale recommended learning solutions • Maintain focus on sustainability, scalability, feasibility, affordability, and access • Collaborate with internal and external experts on generative AI developments for online learning • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Six years’ experience in instructional technology, instructional design, educational research, online program management, or related field • Bachelor’s degree in educational technology, instructional design, curriculum design, or educational psychology • Equivalent of experience in lieu of degree is not acceptable • Demonstrated experience designing and conducting pilots, prototype evaluations, applied research activities, or experiments in education • Experience developing test protocols, evaluation instruments, success measures, quantitative analysis, and evidence-based recommendations • In-depth, practical knowledge and experience with LMS systems, courseware platforms, and authoring/design tools such as Articulate and Adobe • Familiarity with online learning models, preferably in competency based programs and/or alternative learning models and pathways • Confidence in presentation and facilitation skills with senior-level stakeholders • Flexibility in relation to changing deadlines and project priorities • Demonstrated experience leading diverse projects and people • Must reside in and work from one of the approved states • Reliable internet connection and dedicated, properly equipped workspace free of distractions
