📋 Description

• Lead the Contract Review process end-to-end by evaluating non-standard and complex customer contracts, determining ASC 606 treatment, and documenting technical accounting positions • Drive automation and enhancement of revenue systems, close activities, and control design from business case through go-live • Partner with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk during contract negotiations to structure deals and optimize revenue outcomes • Support internal and external audits and maintain SOX compliance • Own complex and ambiguous revenue issues involving material right options, variable consideration, and contract modifications • Build AI-enabled routines for contract review triage, memo drafting, reconciliation, anomaly detection, and audit-support preparation • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, high-performing team

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue recognition under ASC 606 at a public company, a high-growth technology company, or in public accounting • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Experience reviewing customer contracts and documenting technical revenue recognition positions in written accounting memos • Experience improving or automating accounting processes and controls, including hands-on work in an ERP or revenue subledger such as NetSuite, Zuora, or RevPro • Experience owning SOX controls and supporting internal and external audits • Experience leading, managing, or mentoring accountants
